Dr Sekhar is an eminent gynaecologist and obstetrician and presently managing director of Sai Kiran Hospital & Kiran Infertility Centre Hyderabad. She completed her graduation and post graduation at the prestigious Osmania General Hospital Hyderabad, and has the unique and rare distinction of standing first in her M.B.B.S and her M.D. post graduate examinations. She was awarded 11 gold medals by then minister the honorable late Mr Channa Reddy in 1972.
She took up government service and worked as an associate professor in obstetrics and gynaecology at the government maternity hospital Hyderabad for 12 years. She then worked as head of the department at King Fahad hospital in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the middle east for 4 years. Dr Sekhar is recognized all over India, the Middle East and several European countries for her pioneering work in the field of infertility and IVF technology.
